Website Design FAQ

What happens after I place an order?

You will need to email us the following:
Company information: Send us an email at websites@phocusds.co.uk and let us know some basic information about your company. This information will enable us to draft up a website design with a look & feel that is relevant to your industry.

Company logo: Send us your company logo which will need to be a graphics format i.e. JPG, GIF or any other format. If you are unsure of what to send us then don’t worry, just let us know and we will advise accordingly.

Website content: Send us any content you wish to place on the website. The content could be from an existing company brochure or content that you have written. Again, we can offer free advice as to what content should be included on your website.

Website images: Send us any images you would like included on the website. If you do not have any images then let us know and we can purchase relevant images on your behalf.

 

How long will it take to build my website?
We can have a draft of your website within 2 working days and a full-website up and running within 7 days once we have all the website content and images you would like to use on the website.
But we will offer advice every step of the way so don’t worry if you haven’t any content or images as we can work together to come up everything we need to get your website built as quickly as possible.

 

What if I don’t have a company logo?
A company logo is always recommended for use on your website so that it ties in with any existing company literature, business cards etc. However, if you don’t have a company logo, or you would like to change yours then we can have one designed for you.
The cost of a new logo is £200.

 

I don’t have a website domain name yet. Can you help me choose one?
Yes. I can provide you with a list of potential domain names for your business, from which you can choose, and I can then purchase/register that domain on your behalf.

 

Are there any charges for additional development?
Yes. Once the website has been built and accepted, and if you want to make ‘considerable’ changes to the website design then we charge £50/hour.

 

Can I upload my own content, images & video?
Yes. Once we finish the website you will be given Login details to the website admin so you can carry out updates yourself. However, as we offer unlimited updates to your website we would still prefer if you sent us details of what you would like updated or changed.

NOTE: In the event that you access the website and cause any issues with the website then we charge £50/hour for any work we carry out to fix the problem on your behalf.

 

Can I use my own hosting?
Yes & No. We would need to establish what hosting you have and whether that would be suitable for the size of website you require. As hosting is included free of charge with our packages we would prefer you use ours so we can control the administration of your website more easily.

 

Do I have to sign a contract for a minimum period with you?
No. One of the biggest benefits of using our all-inclusive pricing is that you can leave at any time one you have paid us for your website.

There are no strings attached to our pricing and services, unlike lots of companies who will charge you a lower fee up front but then tie you to, for example, a 12 or 24 month contract where they also charge you an additional fee per month for the duration of the contract.

 

Do your charge VAT?
No. Any price you see on this website is the full price you pay.
